‘삶의 문제를 드러내 구원하려는 그리스도’
본문관찰과 묵상
사마리아 여인은 자신의 삶을 꿰뚤어 알고 있는 예수를 선지자라고 고백했다. 어디서 예배를 드려야 하느냐는 질문에 예수는 장소가 문제가 아니라 신령과 진정으로, 즉 신이 누군지도 모르고 드리는 예배가 아니라 영과 진리로 창조주, 구원자 되신 하나님을 알고 예배하는 자가 되라고 했다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
사마리아 여인의 삶의 문제를 드러내신 예수는 정죄하려는 것이 아니고 구원하려 함이었다. 하나님이 누군지도 모르고 전통과 형식에 매인 예배가 아니라 생수를 주어 영생을 주시는 예수를 그리스도로 깨닫고 예배드려야 한다.
결단과 적용
나는 왜 하나님을 예배하나? 나의 창조자이기 때문에 그앞에 나가 예배한다. 힘든 세상에서 목말라 하는 나를 찾아와 나의 죄를 사하시고 생수로 영생을 주신 나의 구세주, 주인이기에 예배드린다. 이것이 영과 진리로 드리는 살아있는 예배다. 나의 매일의 삶이 주님이 가장 기뻐하시고 선하시고 온전하신 뜻을 이루어 드리며 말씀과 기도로 성화하며 살아간다. 그리고 복음을 알지 못하는 사람들에게 전하며 보람있게 오늘을 기쁨으로 살아간다.

Observation and meditation on the text
The Samaritan woman confessed that Jesus was a prophet who could penetrate her problematic life. And she asked where she should worship God. Jesus challenged her that it was not a place which mattered, but she must worship God by knowing and pronouncing Him as her Creator, and Savior in the Spirit and in Truth, instead of worshiping God without knowing who He was.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Jesus did not want to judge the woman by revealing her problems but to save her from it. Jesus challenges me today so that I may worship him as Messiah, Christ who provides me with living water for my everlasting life, instead of worshiping God religiously and formally without knowing who my God is.
Decisions and applications
Why do I worship God? Because he is my Creator, I come to worship him. I worship Him because he has come to me who has been suffering from spiritual thirst and set me from my sufferings due to sins by giving me living water to enjoy everlasting life in Him. I worship Jesus because he is my Savior and Lord, which is my spiritual worship with truth. Therefore, I live every day by discerning God’s will so that I may approve his good, pleasing, and perfect will to be sanctified by the living word of God and prayer. Furthermore, I do my best to witness Jesus Christ to others who may not know Jesus, which is my joyful and worth-while living.
