‘죄를 범하는 죄의 종은 아들을 믿는 믿음으로 산다’
본문관찰과 묵상
예수는 유대인들에게 진리를 알면 자유하게 된다고 했다. 그들은 아브라함의 자손으로 남의 종된적이 없다고 했다. 죄를 범하는 자가 죄의 종이라했다. 종은 영원히 집에 거하지 못하나 아들은 영원히 거한다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
유대인들이 아브라함을 아버지라 하나 진리를 전하는 예수를 죽이려 하는데 아브라함은 그러지 않았다. 저들은 유대인 아버지가 하는 일을 행한다. 마귀가 아비된 자는 살인, 진리가 없어 거짓말쟁이요 거짓의 아비다.
결단과 적용
하나님이 아버지가 된 사람은 예수도 사랑하고 예수의 말을 듣는다. 그러나 유대인은 진리를 말하는 예수를 믿지 않았다. 하나님께 속한 자는 하나님의 말씀을 듣는다. 내가 하나님께 속함으로 하나님의 말씀대로 살게 하시는 주님을 찬양한다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Jesus told Jews if they knew the truth, the truth would set them free. They replied to Jesus that they were never slaves since they were the children of Abraham. Jesus told them they were the slaves to sin because they committed sins. A slave had no permanent place, but a son belonged to it.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Jews said that they were Abraham’s sons, but Abraham never tried to kill Jesus who delivered the truth. They do the same thing what their fathers do. If their father is Satan, they are murderers, liars because they do not have the truth, and the father of lies.
Decisions and applications
If my father is God, I love Jesus and obey his words. However, Jews did not believe in Jesus who spoke the truth. If I belong to God, I obey God’s word. I praise the Lord for enabling me to live by God’s word because I belong to God.
