‘네가 믿으면 하나님의 영광을 보리라’
본문관찰과 묵상
유대인들은 맹인의 눈을 뜨게한 예수가 나사로를 죽지않게도 할수있었지 않았겠냐고 했다. 그말에 예수는 통분히 여겼다. 죽은자도 살리는 하나님인 것을 알지 못했기 때문이다. 예수는 돌을 옮기라하고 나사로를 명하여 나오라고 했다. 죽은자가 수족을 베로 동인채로 무덤에서 걸어나왔다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
예수는 하나님께 기도했다. 나사로를 부활시켜 예수가 하나님께로부터 보내심을 받은 아들임을 저들로 깨달아 예수를 하나님으로 믿게 해달라고 기도했다. 예수는 죽은자도 살리시는 하나님이시다.
결단과 적용
예수를 믿는다는 것은 첫째, 예수가 나의 죄짐을 지시고 죽으심으로 내 죄값을 사망으로 치르시고 나를 살리신 대속의 죽음을 믿는 것이다. 둘째, 사흘만에 부활하심으로 나를 대신해 드린 화목제물이 완벽하여 하나님이 받으셨고 나를 의롭다 칭하심을 믿는 것이다. 나는 예수와 함께 죄에 대해서는 죽은자요, 의에 대하여 산자가 되었다. 나는 죽어도 부활할 것이고 살아서 믿었으니 영원히 죽지 않는다. 예수가 나를 살리셨다. 이것을 믿음으로 오늘도 나는 하나님의 영광을 보며 체험하며 ‘한 새 사람’으로 살아간다.

Observation and meditation on the text
Jews complained against Jesus that he could have prevented Lazarus from dying because Jesus could heal the blind man. In Spirit Jesus was deeply troubled because people did not understand Jesus was God who could revive the dead one. Jesus ordered people to remove the tombstone, and ordered Lazarus to come out of the tomb. The dead man came out of the tomb with his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
Jesus prayed to God to revive Lazarus so that people might realize that Jesus was the one who was sent by God and believe in Jesus as God. Jesus is God who can raise the dead.
Decisions and applications
What is the meaning that I believe in Jesus? First, I believe that Jesus has taken my burden of sins and paid the debt of my sins, which is death by laying down his own life for me to set me free from the wages of my sins. Second, by being raised after 3 days of his death, I believe that his peace offering on behalf of me was proved to satisfy God as a perfect offering, and God views, calls, and accepts me as a righteous one. Since I have been crucified with Jesus, I have been dead to my sins, but raised to God’s righteousness. Therefore, by my faith in Jesus, I will live again even though I die, and since I believe as I live, I will never die. Jesus has raised me from my eternal death. By believing in Jesus, today, I see, experience, and live in the glory of God as ‘a new man’ in Jesus Christ.
