‘십자가의 대속으로 은혜를 누리라!’
본문 관찰과 묵상
이스라엘의 각 집안의 초태생이나 짐승의 초태생은 하나님의 것이다. 출애굽때 유월절 보혈로 다 살렸다. 그러나 장남들과 초태생이 다 하나님전에 나와서 섬기면 집안이 망한다. 그 장남 들과 초태생을 대신해서 레위인이 세워졌다. 저들의 대속적인 삶의 은혜로 가정의 장남과 초태생들이 살아났다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
이스라엘 지파의 초태생과 한달 이상된 레위인의 초태생수를 비교하니 레위인보다 273명이 많았다. 그들에게서 속전을 받아 아론과 그 아들들 제사장에게 주었다. 한명도 빠짐없이 은혜로 구원받게 했다. 오늘 예수 십자가의 보혈로 대속받아 살아간다.
결단과 적용
레위인이 이스라엘 모든 백성의 초태생을 대신하여 회막에서 섬긴 대속의 은혜로 살아났다. 오늘 나도 예수 그리스도의 십자가의 대속의 보혈로 살아났다. 예수의 속전은 예수의 생명이다. 그렇게 나는 예수의 새 생명을 받아 산다. ‘나의 나 됨은 하나님의 은혜다’ (고전 15:10).

Observation and meditation on the text
Since God saved the firstborn babies and animals through the blood of the Passover Lamb during the Exodus, all the firstborn babies and animals belonged to God. However, if all the firstborn males should serve the Lord in the Tabernacle, their families would be destroyed with the absence of their firstborn males. Therefore, God ordered to take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. Through their redemptive sacrifices, all the firstborn of the Israelites and livestock were saved.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
They counted all the firstborn Israelites and those of the Levites. To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who exceeded the number of the Levites, they charged redeeming fees in shekels, and gave them to Aaron and his sons, the priests. Without losing any single one, they scrupulously charged the redeeming fee to save them all. Today, I am living due to the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus’ crucifixion and his blood.
Decisions and applications
All the Israelites were saved by the Levits who offered themselves as redemptive sacrifices in place of all the firstborn of Israel and livestock. Today, I am alive due the redemptive crucifixion of Jesus. Jesus paid the fee for my redemption, which was his life. That’s why I have received a new life and now alive. ‘By the grace of God, I am what I am’ (I Co 15:10).
