‘악인의 도모는 하나님의 뜻을 이루게한다’
본문관찰과 묵상
아도니야가 많은 왕자들과 왕의 신하들을 잔치에 초청하여 스스로 왕이 되려고 도모하였다. 그 잔치가 끝나기도 전에 다윗은 솔로몬을 왕으로 기름부어 세웠다. 이 소식을 듣자 모였던 자들이 다 도망갔고 아도니야는 제단뿔을 잡고 용서를 구했다. 솔로몬이 집으로 돌려보냈다.
QT를 통하여 듣는 주님의 음성
하나님의 도모는 영원하지만 악인의 도모는 소멸한다 (시 33:11/146:4).
아도니야의 불의의 도모는 이루지도 못하고 소멸하였다. 그 악인의 도모 때문에 하나님의 도모는 신속하고 바르게 이루어졌다. 악을 도모하지 말라!
결단과 적용
하나님이 기뻐하시는 일을 도모하여야 한다. ‘악을 도모하는 것은 그릇가는 것이 아니냐? 선을 도모하는 자에게는 인자와 진리가 있으리라’(잠 14:22). 오늘도 ‘나의 입술의 모든 말과 나의 마음의 묵상이 주께 열납되기를 원하네’(시 19:14). 주님이 기뻐하시는 영혼구원을 도모하나이다!

Observation and meditation on the text
Adoniah planned to be the next king after David by throwing a party for all other princes and royal officials to use them. However, even before the party was over, David enthroned Solomon by anointing him with oil. When they heard the news all the party participants fled their own way. Adoniah took hold of the horns of the altar out of fear of Solomon and begged for forgiveness. Solomon sent him back home alive.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
God’s plan shall be eternal while the plan of the wicked shall fade away (Ps. 33:11/146:4). Adoniah’s plan to become a king was destroyed even before it was activated. However, due to the wicked plan, God’s plan was accelerated promptly and rightly. Never plan wicked things.
Decisions and applications
I must plan things which will delight the Lord. ‘Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.’ (Prov. 14:22). Therefore, today I pray: ‘May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer’ (Ps. 19:14). I plan to please the Lord by saving souls through evangelism and missions.
