‘광야는 순종을 가르치는 학교다’
본문 관찰과 묵상
광야에서 이스라엘 백성들은 하나님께 순종하는 법을 배웠다. 구름이 성막 위에 덮이면 진행을 멈췄다. 밤에는 성막 위 에 덮힌 구름이 불 모양이었다. 그것이 성막 에서 걷히면 다시 진행했다.
QT를 통해 듣는 주님의 음성
이스라엘 백성들은 광야에서 여호와의 명령을 따라 행진하든지 멈추어 진을 치든지 순종하는 것을 배웠다. 그들은 모세를 통해 이르신 여호와의 명령을 따라 여호와의 맡기신 직임을 지켰다.
결단과 적용
광야 같은 인생에서 모든 일은 불확실하다는 것 밖에 확실한 것이 없다. 그 가운데 내가 어떻게 살아야 할지를 알려주시는 분은 길이요, 진리요, 생명 되신 예수님이다. 예수께 순종하는 것이 언제 앞으로 나가고 언제 멈추고 언제 어디로 가서 무엇을 해야 할지 가장 확실하게 알려주신다. 계속 잠잠히 말없이 조롱과 핍박을 견디며 이겨나간다. 하나님의 때에 주님이 밝혀주시리라!
‘Wilderness is the school to train me how to obey God.’
Num 9:15-23
Observation and meditation on the text
The Israelites learned how to obey God in the wilderness. They stopped when the cloud covered the tabernacle on the day. At night the cloud looked like fire. When the cloud lifted from above the tent, they set out. When the cloud settled, they encamped.
I hear the voice of the Lord through QT
The Israelites learned how to obey the Lord according to God’ command whether they set out or encamped. They obey the Lord’s order in accordance with his command through Moses.
Decisions and applications
In my wilderness like life the only certain thing is the uncertainty of my life. In the middle of such an unpredictable life, Jesus who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life is the only one who teaches me how to live. Jesus assures me of the certainty of my life when I must set out or stop and where I should go and what I should do when I obey Him.
Therefore, nowadays, I simply remain in silence in the middle of the false accusations and afflictions because I have assurance that God will reveal the truth in God’s time.
